In full growth and having invested several million in automated facilities, we are currently looking for CNC operators / CNC Machinists who can work on the manufacture of aluminum suspension parts for car brands such as Ford, Chrysler, GM, BMW and Daimler Mercedes. Schedule: evening or night shift, 8 hour shift (day training). The schedule is confirmed according to the seniority and shift preference of employees in the sector.
Salary: $30.23/h to $34.62/h + premiums. A gradual evolution is provided for in the collective agreement after the probationary period of 800 hrs.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and control high-speed numerical control machining units
• Make dimensional adjustments
• Interpret dimensional reports
• Perform basic maintenance of production units
• Perform quality assurance and dimensional checks using various measuring instruments
• Change cutting tools and index inserts
• Work with continuous improvement tools to maintain and improve equipment and production efficiency
• Participate in multidisciplinary team projects
• Control the flow of parts to be machined (ex: checking the release of parts)
• Interpret alarms on cell interfaces
• Move the robot during collision
• Know the robot’s operating sequences and intervene if necessary
• Start and stop the machining cell
• Complete various reports
• Train other employees as needed on the various equipment
Qualifications and Requirements:
• DEP in machining technique
• ASP in machining on CNC machine tools (asset)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment as a CNC operator / CNC machinist
• Understanding of geometric dimensional tolerances
• Driving experience on a forklift (asset)
• Knowledge of robotics / metal shaping (asset)

• Able to work in a team or individually
• Demonstrate good manual dexterity in order to meet production objectives.
