Reporting to the Maintenance Director, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the electromechanics on the production floor, seeing to the proper functioning of the equipment and participating in its improvement. He is called upon to work in a fleet of complex, highly automated and high-speed equipment. He may be called upon to program and develop programs to optimize the production, robustness and reliability of equipment. It also supports the maintenance planner in scheduling and tracking maintenance work.

MAINTENANCE WORKS, TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND IMPROVEMENT:
- Provides support to operations.
- Assist production with issues.
- Assists and supports electromechanics in diagnostics.
- Take charge of problem solving and support electromechanics.
- Manages and coordinates the work and sees to its execution.
- Develops and trains electromechanics on diagnostic methods and best practices.
- Improves equipment performance (new concepts).
- Participates in improvement projects in the various sectors.
- Participates in meetings.
- Proposes solutions.
- Implement the proposed improvements.
- Program and develop new programs for highly automated equipment.
- Ensures that the transfer of information is carried out properly during shift changes and keeps the documentation relating to its activities up to date.
- Act as one of the resource persons during shift changes for maintenance members.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
• Provides improvements for preventive maintenance.
• Act as a resource person when required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- DEC in industrial maintenance technology, computer systems, industrial electronics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering OR
- Bachelor’s degree in automated production or any other related training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a highly automated environment.
- Experience in the management of maintenance work (organization and distribution of work) (asset).
- Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics.
- Experience in PLC programming.
- Programming experience with Siemens (asset).
- Knowledge of equipment related to process instrumentation and PLCs (RFID, HMI).
Knowledge:
- Ms-Office (Word and Excel) and with maintenance management software.
- Knowledge of ABB robots, HMI and Siemens programmable logic controllers (asset).

Work conditions:
- Work schedule: day but be available to support occasional evenings, nights and weekends as needed.
