The North American Sales Engineer is a key member of the global sales team, reporting to the NA Engineering Manager. He participates in the development of the North America’s market of the company product portfolio. The position requires contributing to the company’s marketing plan and product branding initiatives. This position is based in North America, preferably in US or Canada.

Specific Responsabilities:
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
- Analyze potential and existing markets in order to identify business opportunities.
- Assist in managing relationships with clients, partners and vendors.
- Establish customer base relations and its management data base(client portals).
- Carry out market research in order to develop strategies and roadmaps for sales of the company’s products and to secure more business relations.
- Develop and maintain good customer relationship for the future growth of the company
- Provide support to marketing initiatives in order to develop strategies for company’s product promotions.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and various sales tools on effective development of business opportunities for the company.
- Assist the relevant management in resourcing, budgeting, and problem solving activities of the company.
- Regularly provide updates on the market competition analysis and knowledge to the sales and service department.
- Attend industry events, client meetings, tradeshows that can develop the company’s brand and business relationships.
- Builds and maintains pricing policies and agreements.
- Prepare sales contract and proposals as per set guidelines.
Budget:
Assist plants with resourcing, budgeting and problem solving activities.
Traveling:
This position involves monthly travelling abroad (Europe, Asia, North America)
Qualification and requirements:
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business administration
- Masters or MBA a plus
- PMI training an asset
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of relevant experience in automotive industry.
- Experience with North American OEM’s (GM, Stelantis, Ford)
- Knowledge of aluminum an asset.
- Project management experience an asset.
Essential Knowledge:
- Ability to develop and make presentations for existing and prospective customers, in a professional manner
- Must have good sales and marketing skills
- Proficient knowledge and skills in working with excel based spreadsheets
- Knowledge of product life cycle tools
- Must possess excellent management, as well as organizational skills
- Effective people skills: effective communication and influence capabilities and able to lead indirectly within team to ensure meeting requirements for RFQ’s
- Ability to multi-task: He/she must be able to complete diversified tasks simultaneously and respect deadlines
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Possession of an entrepreneurial spirit
- A comprehensive knowledge of products offered by the company and its applications

- Ms-Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) et Ms-Project
- Project and Budget management tools
- Bilingual (English, French, Spanish) an asset
