Raufoss Technology is committed to helping the automotive industry achieve its sustainability goals. We look at every aspect of our business for opportunities to minimize our carbon footprint. Our corporate philosophy to deliver lightweight aluminum chassis components drives our passion to continuous improvement.
Products
50% Lighter
Through our design and development process and use of lightweight materials, we are able to achieve control arms that are 50% lighter than their steel counterparts and up to 30% lighter than casted aluminum. This weight reduction is helping automakers build more efficient vehicles, reducing their carbon footprint.
Materials
100% recyclable
All of our chassis products are made with aluminum which is 100% recyclable. Additionally, more than 50% of our materials are recycled aluminum, utilizing significantly less energy to produce.
Manufacturing
Green Energy
In addition to having a global manufacturing footprint that reduces the need for transport, all our facilities have environmental certification according to ISO 14001. And, we strive to use green energy where possible, including our plants in Canada and Norway that operate on hydro power. Our Norwegian facilities are also ISO 50001 Energy Management certified.
Transport
Minimized Emissions
When delivering products to our customers, Raufoss Technology optimizes logistics flow to minimize transport and C02 emissions. Additionally, we use returnable packaging in an effort to reduce waste.
